Enabling automatic app updates

Chalkboard always works best when its updated to the latest version.

We work hard behind the scenes to constantly bring new features, bug fixes and general app improvements to Chalkboard, but these improvements are only beneficial if you're using the most up-to-date version available in both the Apple App and Google Play Stores.

Why do I need to be on the latest version?

You may be running an older version of Chalkboard where we've fixed an issue that affects a core feature within the app such as calling, messaging or phone number settings like working hours or auto-reply.

Setting Chalkboard to auto-update means your device will always ensure you'll be running the latest version of the app once an update is released to the relevant app store.

How do I enable automatic app updates?

If you're an iOS user and want to make sure Chalkboard is always updated to the latest version, on your iPhone, head to

  • Settings
  • Tap App Store
  • Toggle on App Updates

If you're an Android user, head to:

  • Google Play Store
  • Tap on your profile icon
  • Then Settings
  • Tap Network preferences
  • Click on Auto-update apps
  • Choose from either Over Wi-Fi only or Over any network (depending on your data plan)
