Chalkboard is a mobile app, available on the Apple App Store® (for iPhones®), or on Google Play (for Android phones such as Samsung or Huawei).
The easiest way to get the app is to open the Chalkboard website on the device you want to use Chalkboard on, type your email and click Get started.
You'll see links to both app stores. Choose the correct app store for your device, or if you're unsure, there is a link that will try to redirect you to the correct app store.
If you have an Apple iPhone, you'll need to open the App Store. If you have an Android phone (i.e. a Google, Samsung, Huawei, or other none-Apple brand), you'll need to look for the Play Store.
The Chalkboard app is currently available for Apple and Android phones only.
If you prefer, open the app store on your phone, and search for "Chalkboard". Look for the black and white Chalkboard logo. You can install the app from there.
If you can't see the Chalkboard app, the most common reason is that you are using a phone that's too old to support it. Please check that you have the latest updates for your phone. Follow Apple's guide to updating your iPhone, or if you're using an Android phone, their guide to updating Android.
Unfortunately, some very old devices won't be able to support Chalkboard. We currently support iOS 11 and higher, and about Android 6 (Marshmallow) upwards.
We haven't built a version of Chalkboard optimised for tablets yet, but you can use the mobile app on tablets for the time being. Just go to your tablet and install Chalkboard as you would any other app.
You will be able to use Chalkboard from a web browser in the near future, but for now, it's only available as Apple and Android mobile apps.
